Trump May Have Destroyed His Iran ‘Peace Deal’ With This Idiotic Comment

The so-called “peace deal” between the United States and Iran appears to be in shambles, with Donald Trump having to send Vice President JD Vance to Bürgenstock, Switzerland, in an effort to make it seem that progress is being made.

No matter what Vance manages to accomplish, any long-term peace agreement may wind up failing due to incredibly infantile comments made by Trump while the VP was engaged in negotiations.

Asked about the Strait of Hormuz possibly being closed yet again due to the ongoing impasse between the U.S. and Iran, Trump responded, “You close it, and you won’t have a country. You won’t even make it back to your fucking country.”

As MS NOW analyst Richard Stengel, who served in the Obama administration as undersecretary of state for public diplomacy and public affairs, noted Sunday evening on the network, Vance’s remarks were “powerful” and hopeful. “And then Trump, you know, in the most puerile, adolescent way, you know, threatens the talks.”

“If there is one taboo in the history of diplomacy going back to the Peloponnesian War, is you do not threaten envoys, no matter how opposed you are,” he added. “And there he is, threatening envoys.”

“The number one plank in the Memorandum of Understanding says both parties must refrain from threats of force,” Stengel said. “He’s already violated that a dozen times.”

Trump is not a diplomat, and he’s always been a terrible negotiator, as he’s proven over the years with his horrific business deals that resulted in multiple bankruptcies.

The Iran deal is no different. If Donnie could ever learn to shut his big mouth and let others do the talking, he’d be a lot better off. Instead, he talks too much, fails, and then tries to blame others for his own impetuous behavior. He’s a walking, talking disaster who is destroying the United States.
