Devastating New Poll Shows 76% Think Trump Has ‘Failed’ On Economic Issues

If, as Democratic strategist James Carville once said, “It’s the economy, stupid!” then Donald Trump is officially toast, and his party is headed for a massive electoral loss come November.

According to data from the latest Washington Post/ABC News/Ipsos poll, fully 76% of the people surveyed said Trump is failing on “cost of living” issues.

The poll shows that just 34% of Americans approve of Trump’s handling of the economy overall. And the numbers get even more dismal the deeper you dive into them

For example, a mere 27% of respondents approve of the president’s handling of inflation. And only percent approve of how Trump has dealt with the cost of living, which he swore would be his top priority if voters gave him a second term in office.

Trump is also underwater on every other major issue that concerns voters, including the border, with 45% saying they approve of his policies on immigration. 54% said they disapprove.

Respondents said they also don’t care for Trump’s top aides, with Vice President JD Vance holding a 35% approval rating, 29% approving of Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, and a mere 27% saying they think FBI Director Kash Patel is doing a good job.

The bottom line is that Americans consider Trump to be a complete and utter failure. Of course, that should come as no surprise because he’s been a loser his entire life.
