Karoline Leavitt Demands Retraction After ‘Turkey Neck’ Photo Of Her Appears Online

We are currently witnessing the least serious presidential administration in the history of this country, and anyone who doubts that needs to look no further than a story circulating today that White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt demanded an unflattering photo of her be retracted by the photo agency that took it or else they’d face consequences.

The New Republic reports, “On Tuesday, Status reported that White House press secretary Karoline Leavittt hated a November photo of her, her young son, and a turkey so much that she reached out to Agence France-Presse and had it removed from their archive, which removed it from Getty as well.”

“The photo, taken by Agence France-Presse photographer Andrew Caballero-Reynolds at a very low angle, is pointed up at Leavitt, who is smiling in a manner that gives her a double chin, while she is holding her son. A turkey they were looking down at, “Waddle,” is also featured in frame very prominently.”

Here’s the photo in question, which is now being shared by the millions across social media:

Apparently, we’re all just supposed to forget that Ms. Leavitt has a turkey neck/double chin, and having the photo removed will, the White House mistakenly believes, solve the problem.

However, as the old saying goes, The internet is forever. And that’s especially true when some brainless government official tries to censor what we can and cannot see. Social media, do your thing!

It’d be a damn shame if Karoline’s turkey neck went viral. Let’s make sure that happens.
