Buttigieg: Trump Is ‘Unfit’ To Be POTUS After Fundraising ‘Over The Bodies Of America’s War Dead’

Former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg said this morning on CNN that Donald Trump is “unfit” to serve as president and commander-in-chief of the armed forces after using images from the dignified transfer of American service members killed in action as part of a fundraising ploy.

“Just this week, we saw campaign fundraising materials being put out, emails where the president’s committee, the president’s political operation, was raising money off of images of him at a dignified transfer,” Buttigieg told Jake Tapper.

“Any politician who does that has no business leading American troops into war. If the president is willing to raise campaign funds over the bodies of America’s war dead, he is unfit to be the commander in chief.”

The dignified transfer ceremony Buttigieg referred to took place on March 7 to honor six U.S. servicemembers who died in Operation Epic Fury against Iran.

At that ceremony, Trump didn’t bother to remove a baseball cap as the dead soldiers were honored for their sacrifice to the country.

Additionally, Trump sent out a fundraising email showing him at the dignified transfer, which some said was dishonoring the memories of the fallen troops a second time.

Of course, none of this should come as any surprise. After all, Donald Trump doesn’t give a damn about anyone but himself. Everyone else is expendable.
