The Department of Justice, under the leadership of then-Attorney General William Barr, did something very curious on August 9, 2019: It drafted a press release announcing the death of suspected sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein while in federal custody at the Manhattan Detention Center.
Epstein didn’t actually die until a day later, August 10, 2019.
What in the world is going on here?
That’s the question being asked across the internet this morning as documents from the most recent release of Epstein files are pored over by millions of people around the world.
Here’s the DOJ draft announcing Epstein’s death a day before he was actually pronounced dead:
According to official records, Jeffrey Epstein died on August 10th.

“Unless it was typo (they got the day right, Friday, but date wrong, 9th instead of 10th) this is super weird,” journalist Mehdi Hasan wrote on Twitter/X:

Others then joined the debate.
Couldn't believe this was real so I double checked the DOJ site. It's real. US attorney Berman announced Epstein's death with letterhead dated the day before he was found dead.

Epstein’s death timeline is unraveling and of course it unravels right where Bill Barr took command.

Because the Barr family wasn’t a coincidence.
It was continuity:

At what point are we going to start accurately saying that #EpsteinDidntKillHimself cuz he was murdered

The Epstein press release was literally dated Aug 9, 2019 — announcing his death "earlier this morning."

He wasn't found until Aug 10.
Either massive typo… or someone knew the script in advance. Files don't lie. pic.twitter.com/Da7qqTtbwg
Maybe current Attorney General Pam Bondi can shed some light on this latest revelation from the Epstein files. She testifies before the House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday, February 11. There are reports that Republican members of the committee have been ordered not to ask any Epstein-related questions.
