JD Vance Humiliates Himself And His Boss By Comparing The US Economy To The Titanic

Perhaps it seemed like a good idea at the spur of the moment, but something Vice President JD Vance said at a rally in Toledo, Ohio, backfired badly on him and brought down a wave of online mockery aimed at him and his boss, Donald Trump, a.k.a. Dementia Don.

The Daily Beast reports, “As he stood in front of a massive banner that promised ‘lower prices’ and ‘bigger paychecks’ in the manufacturing town of Toledo, Ohio, Vance blamed the affordability crisis—once dismissed as a ‘hoax‘ by President Donald Trump—on the Biden administration.”

“We know there is still so much work to do, and this is something I want you to hear: the Democrats talk a lot about the affordability crisis in the United States of America. And yes, there is an affordability crisis—one created by Joe Biden’s policies,” he said in the setup for his analogy.”

“You don’t turn the Titanic around overnight. It takes time to fix what was broken.”

The Titanic? Really?! Didn’t the Titanic sink? Seems like I recall a very famous Hollywood blockbuster starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet in which the massive ocean liner hit an iceberg and sank, killing over 1,500 passengers. Didn’t most of us learn that bit of history when were in grade school?

As you’d expect, Vance was roundly mocked on social media, and deserved every bit of the online humiliation he received.

Now all we have to do is wait for the White House to tell us that Vance meant what he said and didn’t misspeak. Whatever they say, count on it to be complete bullshit.
