Did you know Santa Claus is spending part of his time this holiday season handcuffing and arresting immigrants, processing them into jail, and tracking the progress of a deportation flight?
No? Well that’s the sick message being presented by a video made by Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) that purports to be about self-deporting.
Here’s the video, which appears to be AI-generated and was posted on social media by ICE:
“Jesus would have despised this,” one person wrote. “Mocking and threatening immigrants using Santa Claus is the opposite of everything he stood for, compassion, mercy, and care for the vulnerable. Ending it with “Merry Christmas” doesn’t sanctify it. It exposes the hypocrisy.”
Others were also disgusted and enraged by ICE’s “perversion” of the Christmas holiday.
