As soon as next week, the U.S. Senate will likely vote on whether or not to release files related to late sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, and one senator is already saying the evidence currently available suggests Donald Trump was “at the center of a child sex ring,” and the files likely contain “something especially and specifically incriminating.”
Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) made those remarks over the weekend to The Bulwark Managing Editor Sam Stein.
“What we’ve already seen is immensely incriminating; clearly, Donald Trump was at the center of a child sex ring. That is heartbreaking that the president of the United States was involved in that kind of gross, craven immorality.”
Trump’s frantic social media postings this week opposing the release of all the Epstein files currently in the custody of the Justice Department only serve to magnify his guilt, Murphy added.
“He is in daily panic mode as we get closer to the moment where these files and the fullest truth that we have available to us is going to be made public, and it is clearly the biggest scandal in presidential history.”
“…It stands to reason that he wouldn’t be fighting so hard to spin against this story, or bullying Republicans in the House to prevent the release of these files if there wasn’t something especially and specifically incriminating in that information.”
If there is proof that Trump was engaged in the sexual trafficking of children or knew that Epstein was, Murphy explained, “The scandal in and of itself could bring him down.”

Here’s hoping the sordid Epstein scandal will bring down Trump and every last one of his Republican enablers. They’re a direct threat to the national security of the United States and belong behind bars.
