Shortly after Donald Trump left Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Friday, White House physician Cpt. Sean Barbabella issued a statement which read in part, “President Donald J. Trump remains in exceptional health, exhibiting strong cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurological and physical performance.”
However, there was also this paragraph:
“The visit was part of his ongoing health maintenance plan and included advanced imaging, laboratory testing, and preventive health assessments coordinated by a multidisciplinary team of specialists. These evaluations were performed in coordination with leading academic and medical consultants to ensure optimal cardiovascular health and cardiac parameters.”

The words “advanced imaging” caught the eye of conservative attorney George Conway, who noted, “‘Advanced imaging’ are the important words here.”

What is advanced imaging? As Alternet’s Carl Gibson notes, “The phrase ‘advanced imaging’ would suggest that Trump was either given a computed tomography (CT) scan or a magnetic resonance imaging exam (MRI) — or both — which are used to detect various health conditions and monitor conditions affecting the organs. This would seem to dispute a previous White House statement that Trump’s visit to Walter Reed was part of his ‘routine yearly check up‘ (his second such check-up in a handful of months).”
Keep in mind that Trump has already been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), a condition which leads to swollen ankles and can also be a precursor for other more serious health issues, including thrombosis, a condition in which blood clots block veins or arteries. Such a blockage can be life-threatening.
The mention of advanced imaging led to other online commentary, much of it suggesting that Trump is not at all healthy and could be suffering from any number of ailments.
As a CARDIAC NURSE, I can tell you that this is BULLSHIT! Trump was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency- which means there’s NO WAY that his heart “appears 14 years younger than his stated age.” My guess- CVD, CHF, peripheral edema , PVD, etc. I’m going by appearance.

We've seen the cankles, bruised hands and facial droop. We've watched him drag his right leg, speak incoherently, wander off during press conferences and fall asleep in meetings. The man is not well. This report is a work of fiction.

Yep, quite smartly buried in all the hyperbole. Who has "advanced imaging" as part of a routine physical?

Trump must be on blood thinners with his venous issues. You can have a stroke due to a blood clot or a brain bleed. I wonder which one will win the battle over his body?

Yep. “Advanced imaging” tells you they imaged his head. They used either CT, MRI or angiography. Trump has had a series of TIAs (mini-strokes). He will continue to have more. When they eventually have to acknowledge the truth, they will point to this statement as candor.

I have stable metastatic, stage IV breast cancer. These tests are the same as my 6 month follow ups. CT, EKG (for chemo side effects) and bone scan. I don't even get MRI which is for when there is progression and/or suspicious test results. Something isn't right.

Something isn’t right, and you can’t help but wonder what this White House is hiding from the American people.
