Jasmine Crockett Goes Scorched Earth On A Republican – And She Brought Receipts

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) shared some painful information with one of her Republican colleagues that left him humiliated during a House subcommittee hearing yesterday.

Instead of listening to voters, Crockett asserted, Republicans are “following one person,” i.e., Donald Trump.

“The reason that people like me say things like y’all are in a cult is because somehow people are abdicating their duties and abdicating the very people that put them into office,” she remarked.

Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) tried to counter Crockett.

“I would remind members of both sides of the aisle that President Trump’s approval rating is soaring and, last I checked, congressional approval is not.”

Crockett fired back by entering documents into the record proving that Trump is not popular with most voters.

“This is just from a couple of hours ago,” she noted. “Trump pivots to distractions as polls show collapsing support for his agenda.”

“The next one is Donald Trump’s approval rating plunges in multiple polls,” she continued. “The next one: Donald Trump’s approval rating, new polls show shakeup over Iran bombing… the next one: Trump’s approval rating drops to term low amid Israel-Iran war.”

Congresswoman Crockett is absolutely correct. Donald Trump’s poll numbers are indeed collapsing, as multiple surveys have shown over the past few weeks, CNN notes.

A quick look at ten different polls shows that Trump has an aggregate approval rating of 41 to 43% and a disapproval rating of 55 to 60%, not exactly the sort of numbers that inspire confidence.

Most Americans also think Trump’s attack on suspected Iranian nuclear facilities was a mistake, Politico reported Tuesday.

“A majority of Americans disapprove of President Donald Trump’s decision to strike Iran on Saturday, according to a new poll from CNN.

“The survey, conducted Sunday and Monday, found that 56 percent of Americans disapprove of the strikes, with 44 percent expressing approval of the decision.”

Donald Trump is not “soaring.” He’s quickly becoming one of the most disliked presidents in U.S. history. And given his propensity for acting and speaking like a demented bully, it’s safe to predict that his poll numbers won’t be trending upward anytime soon.
