Twitter and Tesla CEO Elon Musk is absolutely furious over reports and rumors that he uses drugs such as ketamine so often that they are causing cognitive and physical health issues, such as loss of memory, and the inability to control his bladder.
To counter that narrative, the Daily Mail reports, Musk released the results of a drug test done on samples of his hair that he claims show he’s drug-free.
“The 53-year-old CEO of SpaceX and Tesla posted a fresh drug test on X Wednesday, confirming for the second time in a week that he was clean.”
“In the post, Musk attacked the ‘fake journalists’ at the New York Times and Wall Street Journal for their reports claiming he used various drugs and that the habit was beginning to impact his health.”
Problem solved, right? Not exactly.
While Musk may have successfully countered (for now) that he’s not using drugs, he also managed to provide some information about himself that could come back to bite him on the ass.
“The results of the hair sample test performed at Fastest Labs of South Austin in Texas appeared to include the last four digits of Musk’s Social Security number (SSN), a vital piece of personal identification in the US.”
“The last four digits of an SSN, when combined with other personal information like your name, birthdate, and address, can increase the risk of identity theft or fraud when used by hackers or scammers.”
Sounds like Elon must have been high as a proverbial kite despite his claims of being sober.
It didn’t take long before Musk was ripped apart on the social media site he owns.
