Mike Johnson Calls For Torture To Be Used On Gavin Newsom

Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA) says he thinks California Gov. Gavin Newsom needs to be subjected to a form of medieval torture for the way he’s acted since Donald Trump sent National Guard troops into the Golden State, according to a report from Axios.

  • “I’m not going to give you legal analysis on whether Gavin Newsom should be arrested,” the speaker continued. “But he ought to be tarred and feathered, I’ll say that.”
  • “He’s standing in the way of the administration of carrying out federal law. He is applauding the bad guys and standing in the way of the good guys. He is a participant, an accomplice,” Johnson said.

For those who don’t know, here’s a description of what it means to be tarred and feathered:

Tarring and feathering is a form of public torture where a victim is stripped naked, or stripped to the waist, while wood tar (sometimes hot) is either poured or painted onto the person. The victim then either has feathers thrown on them or is rolled around on a pile of feathers so that they stick to the tar.”

Does that sound like something any elected official should be advocating? And if so, how about we put Mike Johnson in stocks and display him in a large metropolitan area such as New York City, Chicago, or San Francisco?

Also, does “Christian” Mike Johnson think calling for violence to be used against those who disagree with Trump is the sort of thing Jesus would approve of?

Johnson is almost as much of a scumbag as Trump. No wonder they get along so well.
