It’s been clear for some time now that Donald Trump can be goaded into childish outbursts by the simplest things, but criticism of him is his biggest trigger point, as he proved yet again in response to something said last night by MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell.
O’Donnell began by noting that Trump had already “retreated and surrendered” by withdrawing his nominee to be US Attorney for Washington, DC.
And then came the mockery of Donnie’s latest “trade deal” with the United Kingdom, which is nothing but a bare bones framework that continues tariffs which will hinder trade between the two nations.
That, O’Donnell continued, is proof that the so-called president is an “illiterate clown” and “a rogue president violating American law on tariffs.”
And that was all it took to send Trump off on a frantic social media rant.
“MSNBC, the worst there is on Television misrepresentation, is so far knowingly off in their statements about me and Tariffs that it should be considered a Major Campaign Violation. They are nothing less than an arm of the Democrat National Committee, and their untruths are incredible, real losers. Their ratings are down the tubes, but that pressure on them doesn’t give them the right to lie and cheat!”

It’s a campaign violation for someone to have an opinion? Sounds a lot like the sort of thing Hitler, Stalin, and Pol Pot used to tell their citizens.
The problem with Trump is that he can’t take criticism, even though criticism is part of the price you pay when you become a public figure or seek election to the highest office in the country. It’s not lying and cheating. After all, if lying and cheating were crimes for everyone, Donald Trump would already be serving life without parole.
President Fraudster-in-Chief needs to remember he’s a criminal, a grifter, a rapist, and a senile old coot. The sooner he admits those simple facts, the less likely he is to be triggered when someone calls him out for being such a hapless douchebag.
