Trump’s 2026 Budget: Massive Cuts To Education And Healthcare But $300 Million For His Golf Trips

On Friday, the Trump administration released its budget proposal for Fiscal Year 2026, which calls for massive cuts to education, healthcare, and veterans’ benefits while featuring gigantic tax cuts for the richest Americans.

Oh, and there’s also $300 million so Donnie can play golf.

Yes, you read that correctly: Trump wants taxpayers to give him $300 million so he can golf anytime and anywhere he wants.

NBC News summed up the Trump budget blueprint:

“President Donald Trump released a budget proposal Friday calling for a mix of cuts to domestic programs involving public health, education and clean energy, while seeking to increase spending on the military when factoring in a one-time boost.”

The proposal immediately drew outrage from Democrats, with Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) noting, “The GOP budget has $0 for FEMA’s emergency management funding, yet provides $300M to pay for Trump’s golf trips. Extreme weather doesn’t discriminate between red and blue districts. The GOP is choosing Trump’s golf over the safety and security of their constituents.”

Even Republicans were upset by Trump’s 2026 budget.

“The White House budget comes as the Republican-led Congress is seeking to craft a massive bill for Trump’s priorities of tax cuts, higher spending on immigration enforcement and the military, spending cuts in other parts of the federal government, and a debt limit increase. Vought mentioned the calls for border funding in the new budget blueprint.”

“The budget sparked some unusual pushback from Republican defense hawks, including Senate Armed Services Committee Chair Roger Wicker, R-Miss., who accused the White House of using accounting tricks to make it look like the White House wants ‘a trillion-dollar budget.'”

So here’s what the Trump administration thinks should be the national spending priorities: Money to deport anyone they want, lots of golfing, and tax cuts for rich douchebags like Elon Musk.

The rest of us, of course, can go pound sand. If we have to do without healthcare, educating our kids, and food, that’s just too damn bad.

If this doesn’t outrage you, then you aren’t paying attention.
