The headline of the day says all you need to know about how poorly Donald Trump’s second term in office is going.

“According to a poll out early Sunday from ABC News, the Washington Post and Ipsos, just 39 percent of respondents said they approve of Trump’s job performance, while a whopping 55 percent said they disapprove. The previous low watermark for a president roughly 100 days into his term — in polls dating back to 1945 — was 42 percent, also set by President Trump in 2017.”
The issue that was key to Trump’s 2024 victory, the economy, is now one of his biggest weaknesses, the poll shows.
“Perhaps most threatening to Trump, given his promise of an economic turnaround, is the extent of negative views on the economy: Seventy-two percent said they think it’s very or somewhat likely that his economic policies will cause a recession in the short term.”
But according to Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA), the reason Trump is underwater in the polls is all former President Joe Biden’s fault.
During an appearance on Fox News today, Kennedy was questioned about the new polling by host Shannon Bream: “There are brand new polling numbers that we’ve got out today that the American people do not think President Trump is handling this well. His job approval on handling Russia and Ukraine is at 36 and 39 percent, respectively.”
“I think, Shannon, America is paying the price right now for President Biden’s appeasement,” Kennedy replied. “The Biden people believed in diplomacy first, last, and always. We’re in a knife fight with Russia and China and Iran, and the Biden people wanted to quote Socrates to them.”
What a crock of shit! No one on the planet has appeased Russia more than Donald Trump, who has also been known to praise China and their eagerness to crush dissent.
“Putin has reneged on every promise that he has made to President Trump,” he added. “I think that Putin thinks that America has taken the bullet train to chump town.”
“I think he thinks we’re afraid of him. He has jacked around President Trump at every turn. He has disrespected our president.”
Yeah, he’s jacked around Trump because he knows he can. Putin has been leading Trump around by the nose for years, yet at every corner, Donald has repeatedly praised the Russian war criminal.
The last time Trump was president, everything that went wrong was Barack Obama’s fault. And then it was Hillary Clinton’s, even though she lost the 2016 election. And now Joe Biden is to blame for Trump being a feckless clown?
