Pope Francis will be laid to rest tomorrow in Rome, and hundreds of high-profile dignitaries are expected to be in attendance for the funeral, including Donald Trump, who has already said he’s excited at the prospect.
However, when he arrives and sees where he’s seated, the notoriously egotistical Trump may pitch a hissy fit.
According to a report from The Telegraph, Donald and his wife, First Lady Melania Trump, are expected to be relegated to the third row.
“As delegations from about 130 countries, including 50 heads of state and 10 reigning monarchs, make their way to Rome for the funeral, details are emerging of the seating arrangements and Mr Trump may have to settle for row three.”
“The Vatican has not released official details yet, but clues can be gleaned from the last funeral of a sitting pope – that of the Polish pontiff John Paul II in 2005.”
“Foreign dignitaries will be seated in a large block to one side of Francis’s coffin, while archbishops, bishops, patriarchs and cardinals – the red-robed ‘princes of the Church’ – will be seated opposite them.”
“The Holy See will give precedence to Catholic royalty, who will take pride of place in the front row of seating.”
Donald, of course, is far from being royalty of any kind, despite his own selfish delusions that he’s the most important person in the world.
If indeed the Egotist-in-Chief does get crappy seats, it will be a perfect example of karma.
When Queen Elizabeth II died in 2022, Trump scoffed at where then-President Joe Biden was seated for the funeral.
“Trump, in a series of posts on his Truth Social platform, mocked Biden for being seated in the fourteenth row of Westminster Abbey’s south transept, seven rows from the back,” Forbes reported at the time.
“The position—behind world leaders including Canada’s Justin Trudeau, New Zealand’s Jacinda Ardern, Australia’s Anthony Albanese, France’s Emmanuel Macron and the EU’s Ursula von der Leyen—shows how far the U.S. has fallen on the world stage since he left office, Trump claimed.”
And now Donnie gets to sit all the way back in the third row, which is likely to trigger a series of angry rants on social media, some of which may even be posted as Trump is at the funeral.
If there were any justice, the sorry bastard would be denied entrance when he arrives.
