During the four years Joe Biden was president, Donald Trump and many of his allies in the GOP accused Biden of being “out of it” mentally and said that he should be removed from office via the 25th Amendment.
But a post Trump made on social media earlier today is raising those same questions about the current “president.”
In a posting he made on Truth Social just before 1 a.m., Trump attacked four Republican senators who have suggested they will not support additional tariffs on goods from Canada as part of what he’s calling “Liberation Day.”
Here’s what Trump wrote:
“Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, Susan Collins of Maine, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, and Rand Paul, also of Kentucky, will hopefully get on the Republican bandwagon, for a change, and fight the Democrats wild and flagrant push to not penalize Canada for the sale, into our Country, of large amounts of Fentanyl, by Tariffing the value of this horrible and deadly drug in order to make it more costly to distribute and buy. They are playing with the lives of the American people, and right into the hands of the Radical Left Democrats and Drug Cartels. The Senate Bill is just a ploy of the Dems to show and expose the weakness of certain Republicans, namely these four, in that it is not going anywhere because the House will never approve it and I, as your President, will never sign it. Why are they allowing Fentanyl to pour into our Country unchecked, and without penalty. What is wrong with them, other than suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome, commonly known as TDS? Who can want this to happen to our beautiful families, and why? To the people of the Great States of Kentucky, Alaska, and Maine, please contact these Senators and get them to FINALLY adhere to Republican Values and Ideals. They have been extremely difficult to deal with and, unbelievably disloyal to hardworking Majority Leader John Thune, and the Republican Party itself. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

Be sure and note this portion of that tirade: “…Of large amounts of Fentanyl, by Tariffing the value of this horrible and deadly drug in order to make it more costly to distribute and buy.”
He’s going to put tariffs on an illegal drug? Does that mean he plans to make all drugs legal so they can be taxed? If so, he might be onto something, and such a move would certainly spell the end of the so-called War on Drugs, which has been a miserable failure and only succeeded in making drug cartels richer than ever before.
Does Donald not know that you cannot impose a tariff on an illegal drug? Probably not. After all, he’s never been the sharpest knife in the proverbial drawer, and that would seem to be a large part of his appeal to the bigoted rednecks who make up a significant portion of his supporters.
Tariffing the value? That makes no sense whatsoever, as many were eager to remind the slow-witted Mr. Trump.
Trump’s tariff tantrum is a reckless stunt, not a solution. Fentanyl’s a real crisis, but bullying Canada with tariffs just spikes prices for Americans and tanks trade, 73% of Canada’s GDP ties to us. His own party’s senators see through the bluster. This isn’t leadership; it’s a…

You are NOT the republican party. You are MAGA. Big difference. Put drug sniffing dogs at the border crossings. We already have TSA at all entry points via air. WE CAN STOP DRUG'S FROM COMING INTO OUR COUNTRY but you don't- you use it as an excuse for your radical controlled…

Do drug dealers pay tariffs usually?

You can’t “tax fentanyl” like it’s maple syrup.

You can’t scream “TRAITOR” every time someone won’t kiss your ring.
And you definitely can’t fix a crisis by lying, fearmongering, and blaming Canada.
This isn’t leadership.
It’s a late-night meltdown.#StopProject2025…
Tariffing fentanyl?

Is this an April Fool's joke? Trump says someone's blocking a tarif on fentanyl. Seems a little out of touch.

Trump is suggesting putting a tariff on fentanyl?
